One of the most anticipated city-building games has been delayed
A new statement has been made regarding the Frostpunk 2 release date and it has been announced that the game has been delayed. 11 bit studios announced that the release date of Frostpunk 2 has been postponed to September 20, 2024.
Frostpunk 2 will get better with new updates
11 bit studios has stated that they needed more time to develop the game based on the feedback they received from players during Frostpunk 2's beta two months ago. The developers are giving a small preview of the many new gameplay features and improvements coming to Frostpunk 2 at launch, assuring players that it will be worth the wait.
Some of the gameplay improvements that will be included in the final product of Frostpunk 2 are as follows:
- Changes to temperature, heat and proximity based gameplay including new and rebalanced hubs that will make city building gameplay deeper and more impactful
- More detailed and flexible workforce management
- More direct use capabilities in the game loop to allow you to react more dynamically to crises
- A new resource that will make city construction and expansion more strategic and help you stabilize the city's economy
- Ability to reshape your districts after they are built
- Behaviors that are more in line with the groups' traditions
- A more comprehensive and complex approach to dealing with protests
"As we analyzed your feedback and prioritized what we wanted to add to the game, we realized we needed more time to do it justice and guarantee the best possible experience at launch," the announcement shared on the X platform said.
